YOUR LEARNING GOAL

Write one persuasive paragraph of 6–8 sentences using honest reasons and respectful language.

The ideas to keep

  • A persuasive text tries to convince readers to agree with an opinion or take action.
  • An opinion tells what you think. A reason explains why.
  • An example makes a reason clearer.
  • End with a suggestion or a call to action. Do not invent facts or numbers.

A MODEL TO LEARN FROM

Our class should keep the classroom clean. First, a tidy room gives us more space to work. For example, putting bags in the proper place keeps the aisles clear. Also, putting litter in the bin helps keep our room pleasant. Let us keep our classroom clean every day!
